In 2010, the cost a Quebec driver’s licence will increase from $72/year to $86/year. Remarkably, this is a 200% increase since 2006. Have you noticed? I bet you haven’t.
Back in 2006 the driver’s licence for a Quebecer was $86 for a two year period. Since then, the SAAQ has decided to renew driver’s licences on an annual basis. Immediately I thought this was bad news. In 2007, the fee was $55 per year. In 2008 the fee increased to $72 per year. Now it’s back to $86, however Quebecers must renew annually.

Quebec Experience Class (PEQ) or the “Programme de l’expérience québécoise,” is an accelerated, new immigration program that allows temporary foreign workers and international students in Quebec to apply for permanent residency status in Quebec.
Just as the CEC, even PEQ follows the same model of working with two distinct selection streams – for temporary skilled workers and another one for international students.
